Shanghai Sun
Light slinking out from behind an adverse cloud,
The profundity of morning, encased in dust,
The dust of memory, inertia, promise, delay;
Blown asunder by the echoing winds of the sea.
Hiding behind a grey cover,
Rain seeps in, cajoling, tempting,
Washing away the smog of idleness,
Darkness returns, to reframe the day.

Lovely! I love how you come out of the gate swinging. That first line is wonderful.
